As a member of the High-Level Panel, the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alh. Muhammad Sabo Nanono is currently speaking on “ Tackling Food Insecurity and Malnutrition”, today 23rd November 2020.

The 26th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES #26) which convenes national and global policymakers, business leaders, development partners and scholars to lead and participate in sessions that will focus on building strategic partnerships and cooperation between governments, businesses and the civil society for resilience.

It will be a part of a “ Big Conversation for Action” that combines in-person and virtual dialogues to:

1. Reflect on the state of the economy, rethink Nigeria’s economic fundamentals, and deliberate on the impact of the global pandemic on Africa’s largest economy.

2. Explore emerging trends in the horizon that will enable Nigeria to capitalise on new opportunities.

3. Articulate a framework to ensure that Nigerian youth are actively engaged in public affairs as well as prioritise issues such as youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, employment, and participation in governance.

4. Highlight the role of Nigeria’s sub-nationals as frontiers for national development.

5. Agree on a compact with clear and decisive actions that commit stakeholders to collaborate and build resilience by ensuring that Nigeria meets the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030
