Born on the 14th of August 1959, Mr Peter Adetutu hails from Ogbomosho in Oyo state of Nigeria. Mr Adetutu graduated in Urban and Regional Planning from The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1986. He currently holds Master of Technology from Federal University of Technology, Minna and also attended Institute for the Development of Agricultural Cooperative in Asia (IDACA), Japan in July 2013. Mr Adetutu joined the services of FMARD as Principal Technical Officer in 1999 and through hard work and commitment rose to his present position of Chief Technical Officer. He was nominated for the award for his outstanding commitment to his assigned responsibilities. I have the honour to present him for the best staff award from ABM department.
Mrs. Akingbokun Kehinde hails from IFO in Ogun state of Nigeria and was born on 1st December; 1972. She graduated from University of Ibadan in Animal Science in 1997 and currently holds M.Tech. animal production from Federal University of Technology Minna. Mrs. Akingbokun joined the services of FMARD in 2009 as Agricultural officer 11 and was later converted to Livestock Cadre. She is now Senior Livestock Development Officer 1. Mrs Akingbokun was nominated for the best staff award by her Department on an account of her contribution and dedication to her assigned duties. Born on the 3rd February 1964, Mr Amaefule Clement Nwachukwu an indegine of Eziala Ezinhitte Mbaise Amumara in Imo State was nominated for the best staff award in recognition of his loyalty, dedication and commitment to duty. He graduated from Federal Polytechnic Nassarawa in 2005 with speciality in Computer studies. He is currently the Secretary to the Director of the Department. He handles all in-coming mails and other confidential documents. He is judged to be faithful, trusthworthy and competent. I am pleased to present Mr. Nwachukwu for the 2016 best staff award.
Abubakar Tapang Garba, a graduate of Nassarawa State University Keffi, Mr. Abubakar T. Garba hails from Yauri in Sokoto State and was born on the 26th August, 1984. He joined the services of FMARD as Agric. Officer in 2011 and was nominated for the Best Staff award by the Federal Department of Agriculture (FDA) for his dedication to his assigned duties e.g. report, memo writings and other job related activities. Hails from Mkpat-Enin LGA of Akwa Ibom State. A graduate of University of Abuja, Miss Inyang was born on 17th August 1987. She joined the services of FMARD in 2014 as Procurement Officer 11 and rose to her present rank of Procurement Officer 1 through hard work. She has distinguished herself as being meticulous in handling her assigned duties e.g preparation of standard Bidding Documents for the implementation of Capital projects, preparation of payment memos and in other assigned responsibilities. Mr. Joel Daniel was nominated for the Best Staff Award by his Department based on his out-standing contributions on his job schedules. Born on 29th December, 1975 in Yamaltu Deba Local Government of Gombe State, MR Joel had his primary education in 1987 and had his Bachelor Degree in Business Management Tech (Hons) Accounting from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University with 2nd Class Upper Division in 2004. He is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Certified National Accountant (ANAN). His Job schedules are: Preparation of e-payment mandates, Revenue Returns to the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Returns, and Remita Initiator Module. He has served in various adhoc committees on World Bank Assisted Programmes and Africa Union Assisted Projects. His contributions were quite commendable. Hails from Ijebu Oke Ife in Ogun State. Born on 28th February, 1964. Mr Taiwo had his early primary education in 1975 and obtained his BSc in Business Administration in 2016 from University of Abuja. He joined FMARD in 2009 and as part of his schedule of duties, Mr. Taiwo Orenuga is involved in processing of Appointments, Transfer, Secondments, drafting of Memoranda and report of committees. He is an epitome of commitment to duties as exemplified in his dedication, loyalty and willingness to work on any other assigned duties for example, Mr Taiwo served on the Ad-hoc Investigative Committee on the closure of Lake Chad Research Institute in Maiduguri and has been able to track fake appointment letters that came in to the Appointment Unit. Mr.Utsua Terrumun Jacob is from Mbayongo in Vandekiya Local Government Area of Benue State and graduated from the Federal Polytechnic Nassarawa in 2007. Born on 6th July, 1969, Mr Utsua started his civil Service career as a Clerical Assistant in 1989 and has through hard work and dedication rose to the senior Cadre of Higher Executive Officer. Through his scheduled duties of documentation, receiving , recording of files and mails, Mr Jacob proved himself to be a trust worthy and dependable civil servant that can be relied upon to extract any vital information that may be required at a finger tips. Mr Ogundu, a graduate of Federal University Minna, was nominated for the Best Staff Award from the Honourable Minister for State’s Office on account of uncommon dedication to duties. Mr Ogundu was born October 27, 1964 and hails from Ikwere Local Government Area of Rivers State. He joined the services of FMARD in 1990 as Confidential Secretary and through hard work and diligence, rose to his present rank of Chief Confidential Secretary. Permit me here to say also that Mr Ogundu has effectively distinguished himself to be a good Office Manager and relates well with subordinates. Nominated for the best staff award from the Honourable Minister’s Office for his commitment and dedication to duty. Mr Owolabi Oluwasegun Tunde, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, hails from Oyo State and was born on 8th October 1984. He joined the services of FMARD in March 2014 and has demonstrated hard work in appraising the impacts of Agricultural policies on the rural poor and has also contributed in providing technical support to other professionals in the Agricultural Value Chain. Mr Owolabi has contributed in no small measure in Field Monitoring Missions to assess progress of Agricultural Cooperative Projects implementation and has demonstrated great commitment in every other assigned duty.
